Congratulations to this week's winner of our weekly contest, beadifulworld! This is week 3 of our spooky Halloween series and this theme is I WANT CANDY! Above is her winning entry, Party Time (looks like candy) Earrings! What would you like everyone to know about the items in your shop? Most everything I make is one of a kind. I love knowing that you'll never bump into someone else wearing a piece of jewelry just like mine. Years ago, I was a sales representative for a direct-sales home party jewelry line, and I hated the fact that everyone ends up having the same jewelry as you.
How long have you been selling on etsy?December 2007

Where do you find inspiration for your work?Everywhere - fashion and bead magazines, a new outfit, a piece of fabric, a special lampwork bead. Many times the design is created in advance, but most often it occurs as the piece is being made.
Is there anything special you would like people to know about your winning entry?I made a 14" choker necklace out of the colored mother of pearl beads, fully intending it to be for pre-teens, but my 25-year old daughter absolutely loved it. Since she "confiscated" that necklace, I made another and decided to make these dangly earrings to go with it to appeal to the 20+ age group.
What are some things you love about Aiken/South Carolina?I came from the suburbs of Chicago to South Carolina back in the late 1970's, and I loved the slower pace of Aiken. Since then, Aiken has grown tremendously, but I absolutely love the charm of this city. The fabulous old houses, the equestrian community, and the diversity of people that live here because of the Savannah River Site make it a very unique city. I also love that it is only 3 hours from the mountains, the beach, and the big cities (Atlanta/Charlotte/Charleston).

What are your two favorite items out of your shop?My first favorite is my Bethany Lampwork Star Necklace. I purchased that fabulous lampwork bead from an artist in Mars Hill, North Carolina. You don't often find pretty fuchsia beads, and I love the colors she used in the focal bead of the necklace. My second favorite is my Bettina Sterling Silver Swarovski Pearl Bracelet. I love the chunky, yet elegant, look of the bracelet, and it goes with everything.
Fun Halloween Questions
Is there anything fun to do in your town this time of year? Our only child is grown and we don't have grand kids yet, so we don't really keep up with things like that right now. We're not really into Halloween.
Do you like spooky movies and if so what is your favorite? Not much into spooky (horror) movies, but I absolutely love mysteries.
Favorite fall treat? Candy corn
Beautiful shop, Beadifulworld! Check back next week to see who is the winner of the next TeamSC Weekly contest, BUGS!
Beadiful, I love the way you mix colors.
